Title:
Not Just for Christmas.
I love my pet despite his flaws,
He’ll eat anything and chews his paws.
He is always making a mess and demands a lot of fuss,
He likes to dig in the garden and run for the bus.
If there is a noise outside, he is the first to part the curtain,
He knows and sees all the gossip that is for certain.
Its chocolate drops he loves the most,
He begs and pleads…don’t mean to boast.
He starts to dribble when his dinner is ready,
And snores like a truck, when his breathing is steady.
But my pet hate is the things he chews,
The ends of pens, no matter whose.
He nearly takes the postman’s fingers, when the post appears,
He likes to guard the door; there is nothing that he fears.
But when he sends the plants flying it sure does make me fumin’
But despite all his flaws, I’d never change my human.
I can’t imagine life without him,
Despite his habits he brings pure bliss,
Remember humans are for life,
Not just for Christmas.
