Title: Fete Fate

It was going to be our Village Fete today
Until the rain washed the will away.
Our stalls all drenched. Our flowers battered.
The band's stopped playing. The bunting's tattered.
Our baking's soggy. The grass is now mud.
So much for planning. It's done us no good.
